Things are "shakin-it-up" here in this little branche!

Sunday morning, as we were dressing and preparing for our 9 AM meetings to begin, the floors began to shake and shimy! Elder Frogley looked at me and said, "We are having an earthquake!"  It lasted for 5 to 10 seconds.  It brought us to attention but not fear and then, it was over!

So we basked in the Sunday block of meetings and marveled at the growth of this little branch! Then all went to the nearby hotel for a baptism.  We gathered in a beautiful setting!

We were surprised when one of our new members, Frere Minos, baptized his very own brother???

And then another new member, Frere Juvenal, baptized is own wife!!! Exciting!

The first new member on the left was also baptized by Frere Minos! She is his daughter! Who knew??
What a surprise!!!  She makes his seventh child to join the church! His wife, Soeur Rose, is also a recent member.  The fourth and last baptism of the afternoon is see here, the third from the left.  Frere Sadiki.

The missionaries had "shaken it up" in a very good way!

When we returned back to our place, after an amazing baptism, we checked out earthquake information!
We found that, YES, there had been two earthquakes.  One Saturday night about 9:30 pm, registering at 4.8 on the Richter Scale and then another Sunday morning registering at 4.8 also. They were each about 27 miles SE of Bujumbura!
